At Captain Rons we welcome you to enjoy the surroundings, lay out on the beach, take a stroll along Treasure Pass, or just hang out with your friends at the Tiki Bar. Whatever you decide to do, have a great Time and RELAX!
In October, 2006, we sat around the dinner table talking with friends and thought how cool it would be to have a restaurant on the Lake of the Ozarks.
A place where family and friends could hang out for an hour or for a week, enjoying all that the Lake has to offer. A place that had great food, great live
entertainment on the weekends, and a place that the entire family could enjoy. A month later, the dream began.
We discovered our buried treasure, and old 1960′s mobile home park that had been neglected for years just waiting for someone to take care of her. A few months later the trailers started finding new homes and the transformation began. Shipwreck Beach was born and the kids had a blast. Mom and Dad were able to relax and enjoy the great food and entertainment. Just what we had hoped for.
In December 2007, we were awarded the Shootout. We knew we had to expand, so another 300 feet of lakefront was purchased, making 700 feet in total.
Three more rental homes were remodeled, making 7 all together. We immediately started remodeling the restaurant and within three months, the new Captain Ron’s was born.We had always wanted it to look like you were on a Pirate Ship and the crew made it happen.
In the spring of 2008, we completed Treasure Pass which makes for an easy stroll to all of the rentals. WE added our second beach, Cannonball Beach, two new tiki bars, both of which came from Shooters, and a second beach volleyball court. What a great even and we are so proud to be the new home of this wonderful community fundraiser.
In 2009 and 2010, we were excited to be not only hosting the Shootout, but also some other great events such as the Crappie Masters State Championship, the Marine Dealers, fall in the water Boat Clearance Show, and the Super Slab Series. The 100 days of summer will be in full force again this year with activities everyday from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
So hang out with old friends, meet some new ones, enjoy the food and entertainment, but most of all relax and have fun, it’s what we do at the Lake of the Ozarks.
